In 1979, Monica and I were married. Three short yeas later we were headed for divorce. Between adulterous relationships, drugs, and pornography, there just didn’t seem to be a solution.

We decided to move to a small town in NH and run a natural food store as a way to find a simple life and cover up the discontentment I felt in my heart. However, our problems just moved to a different place. My lack of affection provoked Monica to look for it elsewhere. She was ready to move to California to be with her brother and make it easier for us. I knew that wasn’t the solution, but I didn’t know what the solution was.

Then, a friend in that small town of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire invited us to a Bible study. There were only a few people there on a cold winter’s night. The Lord opened our eyes and saved us that night by the Word spoken. “God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe." (1 Corinthians 1:21)

Since that time, God has given us a burden for marriage and families. We have labored for years in the lives of our friends and church for the restoration of Biblical families. A united God honoring family is a powerful witness in this world, glorifying to the Lord and a reflection of Christ Himself.
